With all the craziness that has been the past few weeks, life is slowly starting to settle. Key word: slowly. Apartment hunting was beginning to feel like a hopeless hunt for LA’s most mythical creature- a safe and affordable place… with a parking spot. BUT a good friend came to my rescue and I have now secured a fantastic little spot in downtown Culver. Ridiculous stories will ensue.
I dropped my dreaded research class only to find out the professor wants me as a research assistant and is willing to pay me for my nerdy abilities in statistics. Whaaat? Structural Equation Modeling actually coming in handy? Prof Groscup would be so proud. My social calendar is starting to fill itself with wonderful little road trips, coffee houses, and happy hours. Oh, and I got assigned a novel to read for class. Take that text books.

Goal: start writing more snail mail. Who wants a letter?

After last nights adventures, I’ve decided I do not make it to enough live music events. Even though Lauren and I both were called out on our drinklessness by an accountant and singer/artist/actor/everythinginla, I’m chalking last night up as a success. Now on to find more fun venues before we pack up all our belongings and move out.
